Shipping Policy
1) Shipping Method
Most orders ship via UPS Next Day Air (overnight).
For certain nearby destinations in our $35 shipping tier, we may ship via UPS Ground when it meets the same delivery window.
Shipping method is determined by destination and operational efficiency. Tracking will always be provided.
For certain large orders in selected areas of Boston, New York, and New Jersey, we may use Shipping by ISF instead of UPS, at no additional cost to the customer. These deliveries are handled by ISF’s contracted drivers to provide a more reliable and timely delivery experience. Before shipment, we will contact the customer in advance to confirm that the order will be delivered by ISF rather than UPS.
2) Fixed Shipping Charges (By Destination Distance)
Shipping is a fixed fee based on the distance from our shipping origin, applied automatically at checkout by destination ZIP code:
$35 / $40 / $45 / $50 / $55 / $65 / $100
Note: Non-contiguous deliveries, including AK and HI, may require additional transit time.
3) $35 Tier — Possible UPS Ground States
For some nearby destinations in the $35 tier, we may use UPS Ground:
CT, ME, MA, NH, RI, VT
Other destinations may still ship via UPS Next Day Air, depending on service availability.
4) Sea Urchin (Uni) — Special Notice
Because sea urchin supply and quality can vary day to day, uni items are not available for advance pre-orders.
Please check stock availability on our website before placing an order.
Inventory is updated daily at 9:00 AM (New York Time).
All orders are subject to availability at the time the order is placed.
5) Out-of-Stock Item Notice
While rare, due to daily inventory fluctuations, an item you ordered may occasionally become unavailable at the time of packing.
If this happens, we will contact you as soon as possible. You may choose to:
substitute the item, if available
remove the item from the order
cancel the item
If we are unable to reach you in time, we will ship the available items and automatically refund the unavailable item(s) to your original payment method.
6) Shipping Schedule
Available shipping dates are shown at checkout based on order timing, inventory, and shipping schedule.
Orders placed later in the week may have later available shipping dates. Once shipped, most orders travel via UPS Next Day Air.
7) Transit Delay Notice
We provide UPS Next Day Air service whenever available. However, delivery may occasionally be delayed by weather, carrier disruptions, or other circumstances beyond our control.
8) Product Freshness & Storage
Ordering ahead helps reserve inventory. Receiving early does not reduce quality.
Fresh fish typically lasts 5–10 days refrigerated if unopened and stored properly.
Premium tuna cuts (Otoro / Chutoro / Akami) may oxidize and change color faster in warmer temperatures or when exposed to air. We recommend consuming them as soon as possible.
If you cannot consume promptly, freeze immediately.
Thawing guidance:
thaw in the refrigerator, or
thaw unopened at approximately 20°C (room temperature) for about 1 hour before serving
Do not open the lid during thawing.
9) Returns / Quality Claims
Please inspect your order immediately upon arrival. We are not responsible for product issues caused by improper handling, storage, or delay in opening the package after delivery.
All sales are final. We do not accept returns.
Refunds, store credit, replacements, or reshipments may be offered at ISF’s sole discretion after review.
To report a shipping or product issue, please email isftrading.store@gmail.com within 24 hours of delivery and include clear photos of the product and packaging.
Wooden Tray Uni Notice:
Wooden tray uni may occasionally shift or release some liquid during transit due to normal carrier handling. This alone does not indicate spoilage or loss of freshness. Because this occurs during shipping, we are unable to offer refunds based on tray movement or liquid release alone. The product remains safe to eat when kept properly refrigerated, and we stand by its freshness and quality.

1) How do you ship?
Orders are shipped using UPS Next Day Air in most cases, and UPS Ground for some destinations in the $35 tier. For certain large orders in selected areas of Boston, New York, and New Jersey, delivery may be arranged by ISF instead of UPS at no additional cost. Please provide an accurate street address, as UPS cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes.

5) Can I schedule a future shipping date?
Yes, you may select a future shipping date if that feature is available at checkout. Availability depends on inventory, product type, and shipping schedule. Certain items, including uni, may not always be available for advance scheduling due to daily supply variability.
6) Can I track my order?
Yes. You will receive a tracking number by email after your order has been prepared and shipped.

7) How do you package my order?
Orders are packed with insulated materials and cold packs to help maintain freshness during transit.
8) What if my order is delivered late?
We provide UPS Next Day Air service whenever available. However, delivery may occasionally be delayed by weather, carrier disruptions, or other circumstances beyond our control.
We pack orders to help protect product quality during transit, including possible delays of up to two days in many cases. If your order is delayed beyond that, please contact us. Any refund, store credit, reshipment, or replacement will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
9) Can you change or cancel my order once placed?
All orders are generally final once placed. If you need assistance, please contact us as soon as possible.
Once a label or invoice has been printed and packing has begun, changes or cancellations may no longer be possible. If cancellation is still approved, a 15% restocking fee may apply.
10) What if my order arrives damaged or spoiled?
Please inspect your package immediately upon arrival.
Email isftrading.store@gmail.com within 24 hours of delivery with clear photos of the product and packaging if there is any shipping damage, spoilage, or other delivery-related issue.
